Carlos MENCIA!

What a dum beaner, his back is probally wetter then a pool. He's so short that he can only ride the kiddy rides at the fair. Now these are all stereotypical remarks about mexicans that Carlos would probally hear if someone was saying jokes about him. And i bet you that he wouldnt like it for them to say this about him. Although he is a very funny person, nobody likes to hear their race talked about in a negative way. Yes they are just jokes but some people still remember and take it to heart. And the others who it doesnt affect remember these jokes and when they see someone of the race that he was making fun of, they think of that joke and refer that person to the joke, even though that person could not relate to the joke. He speaks to everyone when he says his jokes because he doesnt try to single out just one race or charecter about a person. There is some stuff that he says that is true and there are also things that i dont agree with but in the end they are just jokes that make you laugh. He doesnt do it to try to make you mad or upset with him, he does it to make you laugh and i think what he does is perfectly fine.

A world of zombies?

Are the people of our generation zombified with what the media puts out for us to see? Many may think so, and it is for sure that the people in television and radio believe so. Why else would they be talking about Paris Hilton going to jail for days upon days. And does anyone realy care about Lindsay Lohan and her drug problems? And lets not get started on the freak Britney Spears has become. And although we like to say that nobody cares about this stuff, obviously some people do because these rediculous events is what gets the television and radio shows their ratings. So it is obvious that the media does influence us in some way, because we are spending time we could be doing homework, exercising or doing something productive and instead listening to what they have to say about the troubled celeb of the week. Although i like to believe otherwise, the media affects me as well. Even if its not in the same way as others, there is media that influences my life as well. Everyone around you is influenced in some way by visual comunications that are bombarded upon us. I think the video shows a good point, most people are not knowledgeable in politics ; but im sure if the question would of been, What do you think about what Paris Hilton did last week, they would of had all responded. This world needs to rely less on stupid and pointless media and get educated on what is actually important. Right?

South Carolina sit down

I guess being smart doesnt have much to do with a beauty pageant after all. When I heard the youtube video of Miss. Teen South Carolina, I got lost halfway through her speech. I began to try to think of what she could possibly be thinking of when giving her speech. Although she embarrassed herself greatly in front of millions of people, I commend her for getting back in front of all the same people (when she could of possibly embarrassed herself even more) and at least making herself look like she has at least half of a brain.
